Heroes and Villians
Nov. 10th, 2008 11:59 pmMonday night at work was nice and goddamned quiet. I watched Heroes while I had some delivery pasta for dinner, and then I spent hours and hours downloading, Photoshopping, uploading, and HTML coding on my Halloween post. Not to put any pressure on you peeps, but it sure is weird how the more time I spend constructing a post, the less people comment on it. Picture-related posts, especially. Maybe when a picture is worth a thousand words, multiple pictures sort of use up the available verbiage that would otherwise be associated with the post, even if Al the Roommate (
blackh7) is in a cheerleader costume. Hence, nobody comments.
Speaking of cheerleaders, this week's episode of Heroes was solid, man. Even if some of the characters' past connections were a little too coincidental (really? Sylar and Elle were buds?), they did seamlessly blend into the show without any retconning. That's more than can be said for most fandom shows (I'm-looking-at-you,-X-Files).
Heroes has really impressed me this season. The second season was mostly dismal with nonsensical character motivations and murky, draggy plots, but it's clear that this season was meticulously preplanned. I'm still not exactly sure what Claire thinks she's doing, but everybody else's stories make perfect sense. Way to recover after a stumble, Heroes!
