Lunch with Bonnie...
Aug. 11th, 2005 11:59 pmUpdate for Thursday, August 11.
I worked and worked and worked and worked Thursday morning and into the afternoon, courtesy of time lost the night before, then headed over to see
bongirl5 on her break between her two jobs. The initial goal was to go to a Thai restaurant, but as their lunch deals were such a better deal than their dinner prices, I didn't have the heart to go in. Instead we went to Friday's, which was far more expensive than I remembered it ever being. Maybe I was only ordering appetizers, or something.
I had a rather tasty dish, something called the "sizzling chicken," which was chicken breasts on a skillet with a kind of chedder and Mexican cheese sauce. It was incredibly delicious, and it went very well with the garlic mashed potatoes. I contemplated seeing a documentary at the art house theater there, but nothing I was wild about was playing at a reasonable time.
Thursday night I wandered around the TV channels, did some reading, and wandered around online (but did not update LJ, which would have been more useful). I made a sort of half-hearted effort to clean the bathroom, but sort of pooped out on it. Thursday was...quiet. Very quiet, and peaceful, and that's about it.
